Sometimes looking glamorous comes in the form of long gowns and sparkling earrings. Sometimes in comes in the form of pajama dressing! Looking ‘glamorous’ doesn’t always require spanx and an undo, you just need a bit of sparkle and shine.
The lightweight silk of these pants makes me feel like I am wearing pj bottoms, but the pocket detail and the black piping give the pants a flattering shape. And although I don’t usually wear floral prints, I love the slightly vintage feel of this one. The floral overlay on stripes gave it a modern touch, and combined with the slightly sexy and slinky silk fabric, it’s glamorous and understated at the same time.
What else is necessary for that pajama look? The sequin sweatshirt! Believe me, with a little sequin, ribbon or ruffle detailing on a common pullover sweatshirt shape, and you’ve taken you’re glam level up to 10 while staying at a comfort level of 2. That’s truly pajama dressing at it’s finest. Now if only I could find a way to glam up my slippers….
Pajama dressing in head to toe ankle pink adds to the leisure affect even more. Picking a soft or pale pastel color to wear sequins and florals in gives a very casual and approachable vibe, whereas the same outfit in black or navy would be an entirely different look. I have to say that I am fully embracing pale pink this fall, as I think it will be beautiful paired with a darker mauve or purple, as well as light yellow and red.
