I have officially become smitten with the idea of showstopping dining chairs to brighten up a dining room. A few years ago when I decorated my living room in New York, I was hell bent on either buying or painting my dining room chairs bright kelly green to add a bold splash of color to my dining room. Well, with one great sale and a few rounds of beating myself up for being a chicken later, I came home with 4 of these in white. Don’t get me wrong, I love my white chairs, and you couldn’t beat them for the price. But after lusting over something that makes you, well, lust, I always felt like there was something missing in my dining room. Since my chair didn’t actually come with a cushion, they also are devoid of any cushion that I could possibly recover, so my only option is painting them, otherwise dropping at least a G to fit around my now 6-person size table.
So, while I contemplate painting my chairs a bold color, lets peruse the interwebs together for some color inspiration, shall we? I’ve picked out some of my faves below, with my tendencies still leaning towards an emerald green or shockingly (!) a shocking pink. But then, I look at what a beautiful floral print does to a lightly stained table and I swoon in envy. I can’t decide! Which is your favorite??
