I was in California this past weekend for the 4th of July, and was happy to be able to celebrate a good friend’s 30th birthday while I was there. We went to Lolinda’s in the Mission for a delicious Argentinian meal, and while everyone else enjoyed cocktails on the roof post-dinner, I treated myself to a hot chocolate (I’m not used to those cold SF nights!). Since I used to live in San Francisco I know that summer there is the coldest time of the year, but I was not prepared to be shivering on a rooftop while still wearing my jacket. However I have to say that I love this jacket- it’s super lightweight and water resistant, so you can enjoy it on a foggy San Francisco day or a normal Spring or Fall day anywhere else with normal weather. The MA-1 rib knit collar and cuff details make it a cool alternative to a raincoat, but the trapeze shape makes it feminine to wear with jeans or over a simple black dress.
