The year is rounding to a close and since El Nino is causing some major rain delays to me posting any other fun new outfits today, I decided to round up my favorite outfits of 2015! As you can imagine there were a bunch to choose from, but here they are in no particular order, and why I love them. Which one is your favorite?
(Not pictured is my wedding dress which was my absolute fave. Hoping to get those pictures back soon!!
I know I only posted this like 2 weeks ago but I have to say something I made was one of my favorite outfits right? Plus I love mixing prints so this was a fun experiment in many ways.
And of course as much as I love mixing prints, this was definitely the year of all white for me. Plus I love this outfit because of the hilarious photo shoot that ensured in the middle of the road. Also, those heels are in both of these looks ?!?!?
This look was a also a fairly recent one, and another where I just loved the morning light and the nautical nature of the outfit and background. I wear that denim jumpsuit all the time and am always surprised by how versatile it is. Plus I love my emoji pins!
There isn’t much to say about this dress other than it is drop. dead. gorgeous. The flowing sleeves and crochet tiers were so ethereal, I felt transformed into a goddess every time I put it on.
As I said, mixing prints is extremely fun, I am often surprised at the combos I can make rom my wardrobe. When I bought this houndstooth vest from Hong Kong I never expected it to go so well with those glen plaid pants (again!) and really loved the result.
Stripes again yes, but this is the first post (of the re-launch) and the one that started it all! I still wear that pinstripe sweater all the time, and you can tell leather jackets are still my jam. But where is that dang skirt?
I love this one because I’m basically wearing all of my closet essentials in one outfit. But it’s cute, classic, modern and edgy at the same time. A perfect everyday look.
This is the one where I felt like a beastie girl and I still love the funky fresh combo of the bright stripes, the embellished hat, and my white sneaks that I wear with everything. It was so comfortable but with so much attitude!
As much as I love all white I love all black, and this outfit just makes me think new york, new york new york. I haven’t touched those heels or those leather leggings since I moved but I probobly wore them every week that I lived there. It’s nuts how much a move can change your wardrobe preferences…
Lastly, this one was one of my favorites because of the use of color in such a dismal winter when by this time you just want to live in your puffer. There are those leather pants again and that red lipstick- it was such a staple for me last year and another thing I haven’t reached for once out in SF.
All in all, it’s interesting to look back to see what items came up over and over again. These are clearly the pieces I can’t seem to live without:
Which is your favorite?
