I love this summer dress- it’s lightweight and cottony and has crochet stripes throughout. Its a beautiful piece in the summer, as a gauzy sundress or a chic bathing suit coverup. But with the exception of bathing suits and ski clothes, I hate buying pieces with only one season in mind. In fact, that’s probably why I hate buying bathing suits too. Anyway, I digress.
I love this dress because it transitions beautifully into fall as well. I layered my new leather jacket on top and paired it with perforated black ankle boots and all of a sudden this overly sweet look has been toughened up. I also love how letting the flared sleeves hang out of the leather jacket lend a bit of Shakespearean romance to the entire look.
How are you planning on transitioning your summer wardrobe into fall?
