Ok, I guess you don’t need to take me on a Hawaiian vacation (since I’m on one already)… but will picking out a tropical dress manifest itself into a hawaiian vacation for you? Probably not, but sometimes you have to embrace a ‘if you build it, they will come’ type mentality.
Typically when you think of hawaiian vacation dresses, you think of long, mumu type silhouettes with no shape and loud prints. Even if that’s not your personal style (thank goodness), it’s the main style you see for sale all over the islands.
I arranged to come on this hawaiian vacation with my family fairly last minute, and since I can’t be caught dead in a mumu, I rented this tropical number from Rent the Runway. Since I use their unlimited service monthly, it was easy to snag this last minute.
I love the color and shape of this dress. The flounce around the bust is extremely flattering, and the tribal geo print on the top and hem are unique while still being feminine. To style it, keep the accessories simple and let your hair go au natural. After all, you are on a hawaiian vacation! This is not the time to overdo it!
