When shopping in other countries I am always on the hunt for unique pieces that don’t look like anything I can find in the states. In our 2 days in Hong Kong, there was endless shopping of chain stores and luxury designers, but none of that struck me as interesting. I have no need to stuff my suitcase with things that I can find back home, but instead, I wandered the streets looking for local boutiques and roaming the stalls on the street. When I was about to throw in the towel because nothing was calling my name, I stumbled upon this stall on a side street in central HK, where a woman was selling elaborately embellished jewelry and dresses. Knowing that haggling was a part of the fun, I negotiated the price of this dress and a necklace down, and had her throw in a pair of earrings. Nothing like a good story for every dress you wear!
Unfortunately I can’t tell you where this stall was or even if it had a name, but if you are in HK, look at the side street next to COS to find this woman and tell her I sent you ;)
