One thing you should know about me is that I love a good theme. When planning my wedding, birthday parties, or even packing for a weekend getaway, I pick a theme for myself. It can be anything from ‘red, white and floral’ to ‘Bond girl’ to ‘Barbecue Formal’. Ok, maybe not that last one, but you get the picture. I find themes to not only be fun, but actually critical to streamlining my thoughts and make decision-making easier.
So when Boohoo.com reached out to me to pick ANY outfit on their website to shoot a look to support their US launch, I picked the most classic American theme ever. Red, white, and blue is so classic, and since I knew I wanted to shoot in the Marin Headlands with a gorgeous (albeit windy) view of the Golden Gate, I knew the bright red color of this top would go perfectly with the warm red tone of the GGB.
Speaking of, I am sort of obsessed with this top now and can’t wait to match it back with a cute short skirt and heels for date night. It’s rare that you find a piece of clothing that inspires you to move differently, but the volume in the sleeves but the elastic in the waist and neckline constrict and free simultaneously to give you new ways of movement. Matched back to a comfy pair of distressed denim and white chunky wood platform sandals, and I’m good to explore Northern California’s coast.
