I wore this plaid ruffle jumpsuit shopping over the past weekend and must have been stopped 6 or 7 times asking about it. I’m pretty surprised people loved it that much… I think whenever something could be for a child (ruffles, jumpsuit) but is done in an adult way (plaid, cropped wide legs) people are instantly interested. Plus, pairing it with a billowing blouse and retro accessories makes it feel new + old at the same time.
The best outfits are all about proportion, and this plaid ruffle jumpsuit is no exception. The ruffled bib top is balanced by the wide legs on bottom. The cropped length makes it work equally well with sneakers or ankle boots, which makes it perfect for extra volume up top. A full length wide leg pant would throw the balance off, making the look too sloppy.
Finish the look with a newsboy cap, white sneakers, my favorite sunglasses, and some killer Stephanie Kantis earrings and you’ve got yourself a head turning look!
