The newest way to wear your gold and silver is by mixing them. Mixing metallics is another big trend this season, and its actually surprising to me how long this took to take hold. For years interior designers have been talking the wonders of mixing metallics in your home, and mixing metallics on your hands has never really been an issue. The more bling the better right?
I’ve had this silver pleated skirt for almost 4 years and somehow every season its ‘IN’ again. If you’ve seen the metallic printed skirt this season and have been debating, I promise you it will be a relevant item in your wardrobe for years. I have linked to some great ones below!
The top was an awesome find from The Outnet last week. I check The Outnet every week (you guys know they were my previous employer right?) for great finds that will be easy to incorporate into my wardrobe. This gold metallic blouse was an easy fit. I love the slight sheerness of the fabric and the short sleeves are transitional for this crazy heatwave we are having in San Francisco. Finally, layered with slightly mismatching metallic heels gives the look a Prada-esque vibe. I tend to freak out about matching everything, but I couldn’t find my silver shoes so these slightly yellow/green ones were a bit out of my comfort zone. However I LOVE the look and it was perfect for this weekend’s date night!
