On our trip to France a few months ago, I picked up a Marie Claire Maison magazine for the plane. Although my french is so-so, I thought I would have no problem reading a magazine that was mostly about pretty things anyway. I turned out to be very wrong and got through about 4 pages before giving in to watch the the 3 original Star Wars movies (my brother would be proud).
When last week I found the magazine in a pile of unread clutter, I decided to flip through it lest something catch my eye.
And boy, did something catch my eye.
This incredible vignette story centered around stripe pieces set up against a. green palm fronds b. Mexican Otomi prints c. more stripes jumped out at me as if it this photoshoot was done FOR ME.
Flip through the images and you’ll see what I mean. It’s as if every one of the vignettes was thought of me in mind. Do I put stripes on everything yes? Do I love Mexican Otomi prints? Gauging by this and this post, YES. Am I now inspired to wrap threads around a piece of wicker furniture for what will probably take me a year so that I can recreate the first image? Yes, most likely, check in again in a year to see my progress. Scroll through the images below for more eye candy:
