On my last visit to New York I found myself confounded by the weather. While I lived there for 4 years, somehow still I was confused about how it could be 88 degrees one day and 55 and rainy the next. Needless to say I was not packed correctly for either extreme.
So as I typically do on these trips, I popped over to my favorite shop, Zara, and picked up 2 items to get me through the fluctuating weather. The floral pants are lightweight and breezy, but cover your legs when you don’t want your thighs to touch the nasty subway seats (gross visual, but true). The sweater is the perfect stretchy mid weight in a bold color that makes it seasonless but great for layering.
In New York you really only have weather to wear one of the other of these pieces, but back home in the Bay Area, I can comfortably wear both and feel seasonally appropriate and chic. Green is my favorite color, and combined with the bright florals, I feel like a blooming summer garden!
