I’ve been on the hunt this fall for some new pieces that offer high style with low fuss. This animal print high neck blouse is just what I’ve been looking for!
The high neck silhouette lengthens my shorter frame and the billowing shape looks sophisticated tucked into to high waist jeans. I can see it dressed up even more with a black or pleated metallic skirt, but there really is no need to make it fussy. I also love how the shirt has loose, gathered sleeves that cinch at the cuff for a ladylike edge. combined with a heavy metal rocker belt, the outfit is a study in contrasts… somewhere between Peggy in Mad Men and Elvira.
The last… and maybe most important part of this blouse is the slight sheerness of the fabric. Long gone are the days of covering up every inch of your bra. These days just a hint of (full coverage please) bra gives interest to what could be a very static look, without being too slutty. Give a hint of skin or mystery and make sure the rest of the body is properly covered up!
