Knowing that I was going to Mexico I wanted to make something using one of the prints that I had already designed, and find a way to incorporate it into a jumpsuit. I picked this aztec inspired geometric print because I thought it was the perfect combination of Aztec inspiration within a modern striped design. Just by manipulating the print one way or the other, I was able to get a great panel segment for the hem of my pants, while the other think lines ran down my leg for length. This jumpsuit is extremely comfortable and forgiving, and pairing it with my mom’s vintage belt was an awesome way to mix old and new.
The only problem with this look is that I had NO IDEA that we were staying at the top of a hill in San Miguel de Allende, meaning there was no way I was going to make it very far from our hotel in my 4″ platforms. Sadly this outfit didn’t make it far from the entrance to our hotel, but I guess that just means I will have to wear it again soon!
Jumpsuit designed by me, geometric print fabric available for sale on Spoonflower, Target wedges (similar but boy do I heart these), Karen Walker sunglasses, flat straw hat (similar here)
