Let’s talk cardigans: Mostly I adamantly dislike cardigans because I feel like unless they are really thick (think more like a sweater coat), then they are just very preppy and delicate and serve no fashion purpose. Cold at work? Put on a supple leather jacket- so much chicer. Cold on a plane? A gauzy cashmere wrap is versatile and provides volume. Never have I ever desired a cardigan. That is…. until I travel. When I go to a warm destination such as Mexico, Hawaii etc. there is always the question about what to wear over your dress when the sun goes down. A cashmere wrap looks nice but tends to get in the way when you eat, or otherwise doesn’t cover your arms. Enter the fashion cardigan. I love this one because of the on-trend leather fringe detail. It instantly turns what would be a sub-standard piece into a statement, and becomes the easiest topper for chic mini dresses and jeans alike. I love how the fringe also adds a more laid back, boho vibe, which is perfect for casual beach locales. Now I know the only way my cardigan collection will expand is if they make this piece in more colors!
Zara leather fringe cardigan, white jeans, T by Wang t-shirt, Zara strappy sandals (also love these), soho street vendor sunglasses.
