This easy black and white striped dress epitomizes my end of summer style. The high low waistline and easy tent like shape is the definition of breezy, but the high contrast black and white stripes take it from sweet to sassy.
You would think given my love for stripes that I would have an army of black and white striped dress options in my arsenal, but the reality is that this is only my second (!). The other one is much tighter fitting, and with a mini hemline which also worked for summer but had a much different feel. This one feels so much more sophisticated because of the mock-neck and the tea length hemline, that I can wear it for many more seasons, layered over turtlenecks and under blazers, with heels, sneakers or sandals, for years to come. Nothing is quite as timeless as black and white stripes, but this option definitely pushes the notion of ‘timeless’ to a new level!
