I mentioned yesterday that I hosted a Cinco de Mayo party this past week for some friends, and here are some of the pictures of my VERY colorful table. In order to create an fun and festive table, through the rules out the window and use as much color and texture as you can. I chose to layer hand painted mexican pottery with rattan chargers, melamine dinnerware, plastic molded cups and fabric napkins in bold colors. Since Mexican food is co colorful- you can never have enough salsa and guacamole- I decided that layering lots of color was a fun way liven up my brown deck and table.
For the invites, I made custom invitations using my Mexican Otomi animals, and altered them in a bright red, white and orange colorway. Then I used a fun washi tape as an accent on the envelopes. If you are in need of custom invites for your next party, email me at stefschoen@gmail.com and we can discuss your needs!
