I am obsessed with this dress for so many reasons. It’s super lightweight and billowy for the coming summer months, it has pockets, and it’s made of eco-friendly fabrics in sustainable factories as part of the H&M Conscious Collection line. But that’t not what made it stand out to me. Something about the raised piping detail and samurai- like cap sleeves make it feel like urban armor, and pairing it with gladiator sandals and subtly spiked jewelry enforces the look without being too literal. It is not my goal to preach to you about the global benefits of sustainable practices, but I would like to highlight that I appreciate when something is good design, AND it’s better for the environment. For us consumers to widely accept eco-friendly products, the price and design has to be comparable to non-sustainable products, which I feel it scarcely is. That is until now!
