Lake Tahoe is one of my favorite places on this planet as there are few places that parallel its level of beauty, fresh air, sunshine, and outdoor activities. But one thing that got to me with every trip was planning outfits for the cold weather. I used to think being bundled up in snow gear with hats and snowboots was a poor way to show off my fashion sense, and thus never took good photos for the blog while I was there. But then I realized it was because I really only had one good winter jacket in our cabin, and I was bored of creating looks around that one piece (although I really do love my plaid snowboard jacket!)
Now that I have the ability to rent my clothing, I decided that this time I would rent 3 different jackets, and plan the underneath outfits around them, so that way I would actually wear all of the outfits out in real life, and would be happy to photograph them! And it worked! I loveeeeeed getting dressed every day because I had a bright, warm and fashionable jacket to top off my leggings and skirts, and all of a sudden my boring black turtlenecks and old accessories that I keep in my cabin felt fresh again.
Here are 3 of the jackets I rented and the fun outfits I paired them with! I am going again to Tahoe in 3 weeks so I’m already getting excited about what I will rent and shoot next time!
