This holiday season plaid will be everywhere. Blanket scarves, down vests, socks, wellies you name it. Make it a little more sophisticated this season by toning down the color and playing with scale instead. I mixed a traditional black and white mini houndstooth check on the vest with a glen plaid on bottom, which is visually interesting but still wearable. My favorite part of the outfit however is these acrylic heeled, round toe pumps. They are modern and demure, and that chunky heel is so easy to walk-in, you won’t be pulling the old “extra pair of shoes in my purse” trick for this season’s holiday parties.
