Upcycled White Shirt Dress Tutorial

I’m super excited to show you this elevated white shirt dress upcycling video, where I take a boring shirt dress in my wardrobe and turn it into a piece of art… adding something as simple as an asymmetrical flounce! I literally NEVER wore this dress because it was just a bit snoozy for my taste (I know, I know), but it’s a beautiful garment that I spent good money on!

By simply adding a detail like this patterned flounce to the dress makes it into something brand new, and a style I have already worn several times. I used scrap fabric that I had lying in my office, and am so glad I was able to make this a zero waste dress that I will wear over and over again! I hope this tutorial inspires you to rethink and reimagine some of the items in your wardrobe!
