It has been almost 4 months since I’ve been on a plane, and for me that feels like a decade. I am so ready for a warm weather/beach/tropical vacation; so much so that I am already researching new brands to try and buy for a vacation that isn’t even planned yet. I went ahead and already purchased this look on sale, deciding that instead of waiting, I was going to turn my hometown into the vacation destination I was longing for.
I’ve found 7 new brands (maybe not new, but new to me) that I’m jonesing to own, and thought I would share in case you were looking for something new and tropical to rock on your next warm weather vacation!
1. MISA Los Angeles
The two-piece set I am wearing in these pictures are from MISA, which is also sold on ShopBop, Bloomingdales, Revolve and Anthropologie. Although their items are perfect for a vacation, the sophisticated and flattering silhouettes are also on point for a weekend trip to NYC, or just a staycation (like for me!). Most of my favorite pieces are their two piece sets, like this Maylee top and Pippa Skirt set (both on sale!)
2. Silvia T Cherassi
This brand is all about volume and silhouette. Although this brand comes at a price, the pieces are truly luxury, with style and panache that will stand the test of time. I love how she mixes draping techniques with tailoring, such as in this top, and this dress.
3. Hemant & Nandita
Another brand thats highly available, but came to my attention because they are available to rent on Rent the Runway (which you guys know I use all the time!). Their vacation vibe has more of a bohemian, eclectic feel, reminds me of the embroidery and artistry in places like San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, and Marrakesh, Morocco. In particular, I’ve had my eye on this dress for me, and this gorgeous but OTT dress for Marina!
4. All Things Mochi
This will definitely be the next brand I add to my closet, a I love their use of colorful embroidery to add a wow factor to more simple textiles. Plus, the shapes are modern and fresh, which is rare in beach and vacation-ready brands. Absolutely loving this romper and this embroidered top and pants set.
5. CeliaB
Definitely the most eclectic of the bunch, but a brand I’ve been following for a long time, and was just picked up by Moda Operandi! The brand is known for eccentric crochet knitwear, and crazy mixed print combinations. While some of the print combos are hit or miss, this particular dress and this crochet cover up are must-haves in my closet!
