2017 was a big year for this blog, so I thought I would do a few roundups of my most popular posts in case you missed them! First off- my top 5 most popular DIYs from 2017!
Coming in at #5 (and also my most recent)…
#5 DIY FLORAL EMBELLISHED COLD SHOULDER SWEATSHIRT
Even though this one was only posted a few weeks ago, it has quickly risen to the top, I think in part because it’s so easy to do and gives such a great year round statement! Try this great DIY for holiday parties or spring get togethers- no matter what time of year it’s a fun, fashion forward DIY!
#4 DIY THANKSGIVING PLACEMATS
This one is also relatively recent, but more surprisingly… good year round as well! Even though I planned for these placemats as Thanksgiving decor pieces, one smart reader mentioned that you could do it with faux pointsettia petals or other colored leaves to make them perfect for other parties as well! Even better, make them into one long runner for a stunning centerpiece for your next holiday table!
#3 DIY CIRCLE ROPE BAG
This DIY circle rope bag is my personal favorite DIY because I use my bag all the time, and its a great spring/summer addition to your wardrobe. Minimalists will love it because of it’s sleek design, and I promise you will get nonstop compliments on it!
#2 DIY REVERSIBLE VELVET CLUTCH
My second most popular DIY this year was a reversible clutch I did in partnership with Spoonflower. I used two of my fabric designs to make each side complimentary but different, and used black and white trim for extra pizazz. I think people loved it because I don’t often do sewing tutorials on this website, but this one was easy to follow and perfect for a gift!
#1 DIY OUTDOOR GARDEN
By FAR my top DIY this year was the outdoor garden I did in partnership with Farrow & Ball. It was really more of a painting challenge, but I took advantage of the paints and had some fun painting designs on my planters which I think really resonated with you readers! Not everything HAS to be white all the time. Grab some blue tape and get creative with your next painting project!
Now that you’ve seen my 5 most popular DIYs from 2017, what are you looking forward to make (or for me to make!) in 2018?
