I’m so excited for today’s post! I have worked with a ton of slow fashion, local and sustainable fashion brands to create this shoot, and I love how it came out. It is also the debut of my first fashion short video!
Everything I am wearing in this shoot (except my hat, sad face) is either made locally to the San Francisco Bay Area, ethically or with sustainable materials. Even my makeup was done with all natural beauty products. Watch the video below for the highlights!

Let’s talk about the inspiration for this shoot. To start, it combines two of my favorite things; stripes and slow fashion. Coincidentally, those things go hand in hand! Stripes are the most essential and timeless of patterns, and you’ve heard me wax poetic on them time and time again. If you want to see all my stripe looks, check out this index.
Timeless style also comes in easy silhouettes and luxe fabrications. A classic striped dress in bamboo/cotton jersey will always be the chicest item in your closet, a pair of tie waist tencel culottes are a more comfortable choice than denim, and an Italian cotton canvas carryall provides a luxe way to tackle all of your daily errands.
