When I first started my blog 4 years ago, one of my most popular series was styling 1 item in 3 different ways. I’ve brought it back, re-vamping it to show you what to wear with a leather skirt. Hopefully it will inspire you to invest in stellar items and incorporate them in your looks time and time again.
When you are shopping for clothing or considering a big purchase, it is important to already have 3 looks and styling options in your head, so that you can justify the purchase. If you can come up with 3 right off the bat, then you can easily come up with more given more time. So I am helping you solve with the thought process by inspiring your fashion choices right here!
I love this pleated leather skirt for a bunch of reasons. One, is that the A-line shape is extremely flattering for all body types. Two, the slightly longer length makes it acceptable for work, nights out and casual weekend days, which makes it- ding, ding, ding- PERFECT for travel. Three- this is actually faux leather, but because it’s pleated it’s very hard to tell. Therefore you get the look of leather without the price. For this first look, I layered the pleated leather skirt over a western shirt dress that I wore in another outfit. Layering this skirt over the dress added more length to the total look, and gave it a more feminine edge. In the looks below I paired the sweater with different sweaters and coats in order to show a more casual or dressy vibe. Weather you wear this skirt with brogues, casual sneakers or dressy heels, it will always look clean and sophisticated.
