This past weekend I spent time in Dallas celebrating Passover with family. I have only been to Dallas once before, and it was a very brief trip, so I was unfamiliar with the layout and vibe of the city, and didn’t know what to pack. Since I consider myself a style chameleon, it was a fun challenge to search my wardrobe for things that would feel more like Dallas but still like myself.
I have to say that I really had nothing in my closet that fit the bill, until this little printed romper came into my life. I don’t usually wear a lot of rompers since I usually feel extremely young or out of place wearing them. Until I spotted this one! The long bell sleeves add so much more sophistication than a tank or t-shirt sleeve, so I still felt covered up for family but carefree and cool enough for warmer Dallas weather. The bandana style print and red, white, blue color combo felt super Americana…. and where is more Americana than Texas?
I added the tassel earrings because you know by now that tassels and pompoms are my jam, and I love the quirkiness of the oversized tassel. I was one part rodeo cowgirl, one part your grandmother’s curtains and I loved every swingin’ second of it. Best part about this look is that the whole look is under $100, and the romper is under $50 – can’t ask for betta than that!
