I skipped the 25 week bumpdate this time around because it was so exactly similar to Liam’s pregnancy at 25 weeks that I figured I can just reference that if I want future reference ;)
Due Date: June 10, 2022
Baby’s Gender: another Boy! Very excited to have another little lover boy so close in age to Liam.
Cravings/Aversions: I am hungry in the morning and very not hungry/sick feeling by the afternoon, so most of my cravings revolve around breakfast foods. I am all about eggs or waffles or muffins or really anything that is put in front of me between the hours of 7am-10am, but then my appetite slows down quite a bit. Even pasta which is my absolute favorite thing, doesn’t sound that appetizing at 6 or 7pm. I eat anyway, but the portion size is pretty small because at that hour something in my digestive system just can’t handle more food.
Size of Baby: The app says 3 lbs, 16 inches and as big as a bunch of broccoli. I have to say I’m skeptical about the size for this one since I’m feeling small again…
Total Weight Gain: I am up 18-19 lbs which is a little light compared to my last pregnancy. I do feel a little small and I’m sure it’s because of the eating and digestion problems from above… but as long as the baby is growing it’s all good. I have an extra ultrasound in a few weeks to double check this, so we’ll know more then. But based on 2 prior pregnancies, I’m sure it’s more of an optical thing than truly a growth issue- fingers crossed!
Exercise: Omg this is what I posted at the same time last pregnancy: DanceBody online 3x/week, Yoga 3x/week, and strength training 1-2x/week. I’m not even close to that this time. I’m lucky if I get in 4 workouts total, and probably 2 are cardio, 1 is strength and 1 is yoga. I need to do more strength and yoga but I just never feel in the mood…
Favorite piece of clothing to wear right now: I actually feel like my style this pregnancy is much more refined this time around. I still haven’t worn anything for ‘pregnancy’ and have just really honed in on classic fits and styles that would be flattering post pregnancy as well. Although I do wear more voluminous styles here and there, I try to stay away from them most of the time as I think they just make everything seem bigger.
Baby Movement: Lots of kicks and rolling around. Just in the last 2 weeks have I noticed the transition from ‘only when I’m laying flat and relaxing’ to ‘anytime of day, any position’. Weirdly, he hates (or loves?) when I sleep on my left side, going nuts and kicking a ton in that position in the middle of the night. This has resulted in me mostly sleeping on my right side, which is getting to be a painful and crampy way to spend 8 hours.
What I’m stressing about: Not a lot! Call it typical baby #3 but I don’t have any anxiety or worry about ‘getting it all done’ like I have for prior pregnancies. Maybe it’s because for Marina I was heavily monitored 3x a week for her growth size, and for Liam I was in the middle of the worst of a global pandemic, but this time I feel pretty good knowing that there is always something worse that could happen! It’s given me a bit of unexpected bliss that I’m happy to focus on.
