I could not be more excited to launch my new summer series, #SewAmalfi!
I am traveling to the Amalfi Coast this August with my husband and some friends, and am planning to make a mini-collection for the trip! The collection will feature fabrics designed by me, clothing projects, accessories DIYs and more. To start off, I’ve created an Amalfi Coast Vacation Inspiration mood board on Pinterest, where I’ve catalogued my tears and inspirations for this mini collection.
Right now I’m loving the vintage photography of Slim Aarons and the recent spring 2017 Dolce & Gabbana collection as inspiration. I am taking away a few key silhouettes and notes for inspiration, such as the juxtaposition of oversized caftans and two piece crop top sets. I also love the styling elements of a headband/scarf/turban situation, oversize earrings and a woven rope bag… all worn together. Sometimes a bit of excess can work in a beach setting and I am determined to nail it for this trip!
