You’ve already seen this dress I made before but have you SEEN MY NEW JACKET? I am literally obsessed. I think I have worn it 10 out of the last 14 days because it is so versatile. Since it’s only barely fall here on the west coast, this oversized cropped jacket looks perfect over mixed print dresses and turtlenecks alike. The shape is sophisticated and the military details are on trend, without, you know… being trendy.
No joke I wore the parachute jacket over a black long gown to an awards presentation in Seattle last week. Then I wore it with leather pants and long sleeve printed top after that. Pairing it with my mixed african print dress and a gold body chain this week was a cool way to layer colors and prints. Since I’m trying to re-wear things on the blog more, to help you see how versatile items are in different seasons, you will definitely be seeing more of this parachute jacket soon. I really can’t talk it up enough!
I also know I made this dress 6 months ago, but I still think it’s one of the coolest pieces I made. All of the fabrics were bought at Joann’s and are still available! Get there soon while the holiday discounts are on and save them to mix up for your own unique project.
In addition, you know what else is my new favorite thing? Visible socks! I’m sick of wearing low ankle socks with boots and loafers and platforms, not intending for them to be seen. Short socks always sink down and get stuck around my heel! Therefore I am seriously investing in cute silky socks in multiple fun colors and textures. It is so much easier to wear with boots and brogues, and you still protect your feet! Those women in the 80’s had something going there… ;)
