I’m sure you’ve seen your fair share of blogger posts talking about ‘sweater weather’ and ‘OTK boots’. Well, I’m here for your daily dose of something different. No shade, but personally I get sick and tired of seeing the same posts about 3 ways to wear a scarf for fall. If you don’t already know how to tie a scarf or wear black leggings, you clearly don’t care to!
Dressing for fall is my favorite season because there are really so many items that you can wear, beyond the knit/velvet/suede obvious fabrics and cuts. Some of the ‘summer’ items in your wardrobe actually can have a longer life when paired with slightly heavier pieces, and mixing and matching unexpected spring/summer silhouettes for fall can be quite refreshing.
A cropped wide leg pant is tres french chic with flats or brogues, as the idea is that you are dressing for practicality, not sex appeal. And in the nonchalant process, sex appeal comes as an afterthought. As long as the pant nips in at the waist, you can pair it with boxier or oversize shapes for fall, and all sorts of shoe styles and heights. This fall, I dare you to make a fall outfit out of something decidedly not ‘fall’- I bet you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the results!
