Playing with Proportions

I have to admit that I have had this sheer, pleated hi-low top for almost a year and I never wore it. Although it has a ton of interest, it somehow never worked with the skinny jean outfits I planned. Finally it felt right with a simple miniskirt- the voluminous silhouette pairs back well to a little skin!

Skirt: Zara, old. Top: H&M, clearly old. Shoes: H&M ($35!). Bag: J.Crew (other colors here). Jewelry: Soho street vendor, H&M, Stefanie Marie Designs

Cruella de Vil

Alright, alright, don’t hate me – it’s not often someone owns two pieces of dalmation print clothing, so I couldn’t resist being matchy matchy with them. I think the unexpected mixing of prints and textures takes it to a more modern place, and the pop of red is always a classic cherry on top!

Dress: H&M (worn before here). Sweater: Old Navy (old, worn here). Shoes: Zara (old!). The Amazing folding clutch bag: DSW (seen here). Belt: Forever21. Jewelry: Souvenir from India, chain from the clutch.

Dancin’ On My Own

A military inspired leather jacket is my favorite way to toughen up a wispy animal print dress. I just bought this dress and am so excited to rock it for all my summer outings; it’s so completely floaty and comfortable, but the knife pleating adds a touch of structure and sophistication. It’s like it was made to twist, twirl and dance in!

Dress: Dee and Ray at Piperlime (only $70!). Jacket: Gap (old, but another great one on sale here). Clutch that expands to a bag: Poppie Jones at DSW – $35! (other colors here). Shoes: Zara (old). Sunnies: Karen Walker. Jewelry: C.wonder, souvenirs from India, Soho street vendor, H&M

Winter Again

I’m getting dizzy thinking about how many times the weather has changed in San Francisco over the past few weeks. Apparently we are back to freezing winter, while the east coast is having an abnormal heat wave. Since I’ve been on an animal print kick, here is a look combining 4 different animal elements (fur, leather, and 2 prints).

Pants: H&M. Shirts: Zara and H&M. Shoes: AllSaints. Vest: Zara. Bag: DIY. Sunglasses: Soho street vendor.

Coral+Leopard

These pants were a crazzzyyy good find. A standout print, as comfortable as sweatpants, and inexpensive to boot. I love them paired with a silky coral button down and a tailored jacket, but the lightweight fabric will make these perfect all through summer.

Pants: Forever21. Top: H&M (old). Jacket: Zara. Bag: Badgley Mischka. Shoes: Zara. Jewelry: JoeFresh, H&M, Banana Republic, H&M, souvenir from India.
