I am SO excited about this week’s DIY that for ONCE in my life I can’t wait for it to rain! Seriously that’s saying something considering I don’t have an umbrella or a raincoat.
I found the inspiration for this DIY on pinterest and just had to add bows to my own pair of Target Rain boots (seen here).
What You will need:
1. Rain boots
2. 2 yds of Fun striped or plaid ribbon
3. Scissors
4. Hammer
5. Dart Awl or Sharp Pick (from any craft store in the stud section)
6. Marker
7. 8-10 Grommet Sets with stud setter (I recommend buying these)
Disclaimer: While this is an easy DIY, it does take muscle to get those grommets on!
Step 1: Measure and Mark where you want your grommets to go
Step 2: Punch holes with the dart awl
Step 3: Use the scissors to cut a slightly larger hole in the rubber to fit the grommet into.
Step 5: Push the larger side into the outside of the rain boots
Step 6: Follow the instructions on the package to use the stud setter and hammer to hammer those suckers into place!
Step 7: Lace up with your gorgeous ribbon and hit the puddles!

OMG Those are way cute! I would definitely buy those if you sold them on Etsy :)
Thats a good idea! I never even thought of that!
Do it!! These are perfect!
