What I’m Craving Now: Red, Gold and Animal

I know summer is typically about cool whites and breezy brights, but right now I’m loving  the hot and striking combo of red, gold and animal prints. There’s something about red and gold against tanned skin that heats up those warm summer nights. Now if I could just get that tan!

$50 or Less: Bridal Shower Looks

 This weekend a friend and I are hosting a bridal shower for my good friend Erin back in San Francisco, and it got me thinking about what to wear to all the fabulous events that lead up to weddings. Since there are so many events (showers, engagement parties, bachelorettes, never mind the big day itself), a girl really has to check herself in the budget department. This is where you save on something versatile, that you can wear to many events throughout the summer. Here are my bridal shower picks, all under $50!

Jewelry Inspiration: Ranjana Khan

Sonia and I walked into Bendel’s last week and I stumbled across some beautiful sparkling creations from Ranjana Khan. Although I had heard of her, the wife of famed fellow designer Naeem Khan, I googled her work as soon as I got home to discover loads of precious stone and jeweled collage necklaces and pendants, bracelets and earrings. A longtime lover of mixed media, I am immediately drawn to how rugged and luxe each piece is, which makes them completely compatible with a LBD or a tee and jeans. Most of the decoration is hand sewn onto cut out leather pieces, which directly contrasts to how much sparkle emanates from the jewels. I am completely smitten with these pieces, and I definitely hope to incorporate a bit of her eclectic style into my own Stefanie Marie pieces in the future!

Something about the change in weather that makes me want bright colors, fabulous new clothes and fancy new shoes. This happens every year, as excitement builds with peep toes, sleeveless tops and flowing skirts aplenty.
